A striking student accommodation facade project in Leeds, Merrion Street features TI Terracotta supplied by Favemanc on the TI-DF7 clip system. The specification creates a contemporary terracotta rainscreen facade with a distinctive, textured appearance, giving the development a strong architectural identity within a busy city-centre setting.
With a project size of 805m² of panels and 267 linear metres of baguettes, the scheme represents a substantial facade installation. The project was delivered with Quba Construction Ltd as installation contractor and HG Construction Ltd as main contractor, helping bring together the technical and practical elements needed for a high-quality result.
A key feature of the project is the use of five bespoke terracotta profiles and matching baguettes, which create depth, shadow and strong vertical emphasis across the elevations. Supported by an engineered substructure and clip system, the facade was designed to allow efficient installation while maintaining tight control over joint lines, tolerances and alignment. The result is a durable, low-maintenance facade solution that supports long-term performance, colour stability and resistance to urban pollution.
