A striking commercial facade project in the heart of Stockport, 2 Stockport Exchange features Aerolite Stonework supported on the TI-DF4 undercut anchor system. Designed as high-quality Grade A office space within one of the North West’s fastest-growing business hubs, the development combines strong visual impact with technical precision.
The scheme includes over 1300m² of stonework across the building’s external facade, with the project also described as 1500m²+ in the case study summary. Spanning five storeys and around 61,502 sq ft, the building sits at the core of Stockport and has been designed to support modern business growth in the town centre.
A key feature of the project is the use of complex pre-formed corner panels, alongside special-format large panels that help give the facade its clean, contemporary finish. The specification was selected by Aedas, with GMI Construction Ltd as main contractor and Hansen Facades as installation contractor, helping bring together a technically demanding and visually impressive facade solution.
