T.I. Dynamic Facades are very pleased with the final outcome of the £10m Possilpark Health & Care Centre on Saracen Street, Glasgow where our stunning White Urban Glass was chosen for the façade of this elegant building (456m²).
This new facility is to be used as a catalyst for the regeneration of the local community through a building that is flexible and can be conveniently adapted to future healthcare delivery models. The building has received a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ sustainability rating. Only the top 10% of new UK non-domestic buildings possess an ‘Excellent’ BREEAM certification.
T.I. Tiles International worked closely alongside Aedas Architects, Interserve and RIG throughout the façade design and tender process which resulted in the successful installation of our Urban Glass façade rainscreen.
Urban Glass possesses numerous ideal cladding qualities such as zero water absorption, anti-graffiti as well as excellent thermal expansion properties. It is also stronger than granite and can be conveniently customised to the requirements of the project in terms of panel size, colour and finish.
As seen on the health centre, Urban Glass benefits from a hidden fixing system and strongly resembles natural stone. This is highly advantageous for projects that wish to obtain a truly uninterrupted façade finish. It matches the versatility of granite yet it is thinner, stronger, lighter and more resilient.
