In 2012, T.I. Dynamic Facades successfully completed a project alongside Page Park Architects and RIG Cladding Co. which saw the £10m development of the iconic Olympia Theatre in Glasgow. Strong communication and collaboration between the involved parties meant that the project was delivered in a smooth, timely manner and to the high expectations to which we operate.
For this historic building, our Honed Black Aerolite Granite (300m²) range was selected in order to bring this building back to life, whilst maintaining the authentic appearance in which the Olympia Theatre prides itself.
The Olympia Theatre was originally known as the ‘Olympia Theatre of Varieties’ and opened on the 18th of September 1911 and was designed by the architectural practice George Arthur & Son. The new multipurpose Olympia Theatre, completed in 2012 is both a public library and a centre of excellence for elite athletes, as well as offering high-quality lettable office space to the public.
Aerolite Granite is a lightweight, reinforced granite that has a wide variety of finishes available. It has a concealed fixing system meaning that the façade is truly uninterrupted and is extremely cost effective.
