Luma Apartments

Luma Apartments is a landmark development designed by CZWG Architects and is situated in Park Royal, North West London.

Following the limited competition, CZWG was appointed by the Network Housing Group to design a 100% Key Worker affordable Development at the Central Middlesex Hospital, Park Royal. The scheme completes the new Central Middlesex Hospital, located within Europe’s largest industrial park.

The original brief asked for a landmark building accommodating a minimum of 120 homes.

CZWG’s proposals provided an extra 25 homes, maximising the full potential of the site.

The project is focused around a generous communal garden for the residents. Family maisonettes at ground level have apartments above, whilst a taller building on the corner of the site acts as a landmark visible from all directions.

The development is the best showcase yet from Network Housing Group’s commitment to achieving sustainability, with the homes achieving Code for Sustainable Homes Code 4.

T.I. Tiles International worked closely with CZWG & Durkan Group throughout the facade design and tender process resulting in the successful installation of our TONALITY® clay terracotta apartment Tiles Interainscreen system.

TONALITY® has an extensive colour range and a wide selection of sizes which offer architects complete design flexibility.

For this project, the Creaton tiles were supplied in a special Green Gloss finish to a modular, portrait design of 900mm high x 300mm wide resulting in a stunning facade.

The TONALITY® system is geared towards ease and speed of installation and for this project the tiles were fixed onto to the BAS vertical continuous carrier rail.
