New Festival Quarter is a landmark development of apartments and penthouses situated in E14, Poplar which is close to Canary Wharf, the Olympic Village and Westfield Stratford.
The architectural brief for New Festival Quarter was to create a landmark development, while at the same time breathing life into the existing community. The aim was to design a truly contemporary development yet one that retains something of the spirit of the original Lansbury ‘Festival of Britain’ architecture. In this way, the height of the building and external finishes of the four blocks that constitute New Festival Quarter have been strategically designed to complement their immediate surroundings.
T.I. Dynamic Facades worked closely with Bellway Homes, Stock Woolstencroft Architects & Brickability throughout the facade design and tender process resulting in the successful installation of our Tonality clay terracotta rainscreen system.
Tonality has an extensive colour range and a wide selection of sizes which offer architects complete design flexibility.
For this project, the Tonality tiles were supplied in a white gloss finish to a modular design of 150mm high x 900mm long resulting in a stunning facade.
The Tonality system is geared towards ease and speed of installation and for this project, the tiles were fixed onto the Classic CLS vertical continuous carrier rail.
