TI Aerolite® natural granite system was specified by Halliday Fraser Munro for the new GDF Suez headquarters in Aberdeen. This prestigious project is part of the ongoing regeneration of the North Dee Business Quarter overlooking the banks of the River Dee.
The natural granite facade creates a striking appearance balanced with the elegance and durability that only natural stone cladding can deliver; along with its strong sustainability ethos this new 40,700 sq.ft. office building is the first in Aberdeen to achieve the BREEAM Excellent rating under the 2011 scheme.
From its outset, the developer Miller Cromdale outlined the importance of this build due to its strategic location and prestigious tenant. To ensure the exacting quality and performance of this build they employed cladding consultants Cladtech Associates to oversee the design intent and install by Mansell & Glassolutions Saint Gobain .
With multi-colour granite in various face finishes, weighing below 50kg/m2 and by offering creative and bespoke solutions, TI Aerolite® provided great flexibility for both the design and installation of this outstanding Grade A office accommodation.
GDF Suez E&P UK have been given the space to further grow their high-performance operations in support of existing and new exploration and production projects in the offshore sector in the North Sea.
